Indoor pool near PF or Gatlinburg?

Are there any campgrounds with an indoor pool near PF or Gatlinburg? We were thinking of going between Christmas and New Years and thought it would be nice if the kids could have some fun. Or are there any Indoor water parks near by?

RE: Pics of Fifth Airborne for Lippert 1621HD Pinbox?

I have one I will try to get a pic up before we leave on Vac. It mounted up very well. The 5th airborne is a touch longer then the stock pin box so it helps with the extending part and I mounted it as far up as it would go and it was still lower then stock but I was able to lower my hitch in the truck so all is good.

RE: Campgrounds few miles North of Atlanta

McKinney campground on Alatoona Lake, Acworth peaceful and quiet Allatoona Landing....which is a RV Park and Marina...Also Acworth some people don't like the train noise at this one. Their is also a Best Parks of America in Marietta I was just rereadng this after I hit qoute but I will second the train noise. Carterville isn't too far we stay there everytime through and make through Atlanta the next morning before trafic. Made the mistake once and tried to go through Atlanta around 7pm never again.

RE: pirateland,sc

I like the sites that back up to the river. I think they are the largest and are mostly grass. The ocean sites are a bit tighter but the same or even a bit larger them OL. We prefere Priateland. JMO

RE: St.Augustine KOA

We were there 8 years ago it was nothing special but it was what you would expect from a KOA. Clean, quite roomy and friendly people. I would recomend it. Easy to get to and from as well.

RE: Fifth Airborne King Pin Box-Do You Like It?

Anyone towing with a 6.5'shortbed using 5th airborne? I'm planning on puchasing one this coming week for two reasons. 1. I tow a 33' Teton Homes Experience and the manufacture will accept a cushion king pin modification without violating warranty. 2. softer ride and an extra 9" on the slider hitch. Love my rig Bob I am using a MegaCab Dodge with a short bed. I went with just a fifth airborne with a sliding hitch. I haven't needed to use the slide yet but my trailer has somewhat of a extended pin box but I have the slider when I need it.

RE: bunkhouse 5th wheel

Wildcat has a few, one with two bunks in the back one with three bunks and a couch in the front and a queen in the rear. And a loft model that has bunks in the back with a loft over the rear asw well. I really like ours and it fits our family of 5 nicely.

RE: Is this a good price on an extended warranty?

One thing to consider. If buying new, your exteded warranty company will not pay if there is still warranty time left from the manufacturer. Most rigs have a one year warranty. Most of your appliances come with two or three year warranty. No sense in having double coverage. You have to make sure it doesn't start untill the one year aniversery. Thats what our did. I got a cheeper 5 year extended on the major componets I have a list of them somewhere.

RE: Ft Wilderness

If you get a chance, make dinner reservations at the Wilderness Lodge. There is a restaurant just inside the front doors, I don't remember the name but it is very kid friendly, there are activities during dinner which keep the kids happy. For example, if you ask the waiter/waitress for ketchup they will yell across the dining room for ketchup and the kids all get up and bring ketchup to your table, you may end up with 25 bottles of ketchup. They also have the kids hop around on stick ponies. You can walk there from FW as there is a walking trail to Wilderness Lodge. Whatever you do I know you'll all have a great time. Fireworks at Magic Kingdom can be seen from the beach at FW. We'll be there the second week of May, can't wait. Its called "Whispering Canyon Cafe" and it is a lot of fun. Make sure your kids ask for Ketchup. There is also a light parade on the lake, it starts quite late around 10 ish but its neet to see once.

RE: Let's play "the improvement/modification" game...

I just did the $1000 a fifthe airborn and equa-flex 5000 would add some gagues to the truck and 16" wheels and tires to the trailer and a select comfort bed for the trailer. 10000 save it for camping and to pay for fuel.

RE: What is your favorite FL campground.....

Hey guys I know you have some younger kids. Becareful expecially around the Tampa area I found a lot of camp resorts had age restrictions. I was hard pressed to find one that didn't on the gulf. I like the St. Augistine area the campgrounds are average but I love the area.

RE: Maxxis tires

The 15 inch wheels that I removed when I went to 16's had a sticker inside the wheel saying 75 psi max. If I did not go to 16's I would have went the Maxxis route and aired them to 75. I'm sure you would be safe to air them to 80 psi and replace the rubber valve stem with metal ones. I've yet to see a rim fail from too much air.

RE: 1/2 Ton Towable 5th Wheels

My in-laws have a Flagstaff fifth wheel that would be 1/2 to towable. not sure of the model but he showed me the numbers and it was about 6400 and about 1200 on the pin fully loaded. He opted for a 3/4 ton sience he didn't have a truck yet but would have been fine if he went with a 1/2 ton.

RE: just installed it

when putting in a fuel tank if not plumed in it is a slip tank and need plac cards if plumed in it is part of the truck I'm sure it is different in all states but in MI you only need plac card if you are carring over 110 gals in one tank and if it is not plumbed in. I can carry two 90 gal tanks on one truck and still be good. Just a loop hole in the laws I guess. I would do this in a heart beat if it didn't add more weight to my rig I'm close to being over if I load it up now.
